LinkedIn Sports Challenge 15/30

#LinkedInSports Day 1️⃣5️⃣: What is your favorite and least favorite part about working in sports?

One of my favorite parts about working in sports is the ability to compete every single day. Competition is directly translatable from being an athlete to the sports business world! There might not be team wins & losses, but there are company profit & loss rankings! There might not be league MVP awards, but there are top sales person awards. To my current athletes, please understand that you can compete in the business world just like you can compete in athletics.

There aren't too many things I would categorize as my least favorite, but if I had to pick one it's the pressure to always be available. I decided to implement a global strategy with Kreation Talent Agency, which means it's "literally 5 o'clock somewhere!" So as the day winds down on the east coast in the USA, it's just beginning in the Asian markets. What happens if I log off during that time? Does that mean I might miss an opportunity? What if someone calls me and I don't answer? Internal questions like these keep me up at night.

I think a lot of this pressure is self-imposed. More often than not this feeling is caused from perceived expectations of us, which we just happen to call pressure. Regardless, being "on-call" nonstop, or feeling like you are, is far too common in this industry.
