This is a monthly recap of resources that have helped me become the best version of me!
A QUOTE I love --
"Great decisions come from experience. But experience comes from bad decisions."
A BOOK I finished -- Wonder by RJ Palacio // I needed to switch it up a bit and read a fiction book. What a great decision that was! This novel will give you a humble perspective on life. The plot centers around a 10 year old boy who suffers from a rare genetic condition that makes his face a bit "abnormal." This boy faces bullying and discrimination throughout his childhood, but in the end it is clear that the amount of good people in this world outweigh the bad.
A PODCAST I listened to --
A DNA Company Lets the FBI In (The Wall Street Journal) // DNA test kits and family ancestry services have exploded recently. But this type of data may have just have opened up an opportunity for law enforcement to solve crimes at a deeper level. When the Founder of the company received a phone call from the FBI requesting DNA to help solve a gruesome murder case, he was faced with a tough choice. Should he allow this federal agency access to private information? Or refuse to help solve the murder case...
PLACE I RECENTLY TRAVELED to --
Where --> Florence, Italy
When --> February 2019
Reason --> Italian Cup Final
Fun Fact --> Home of the infamous Pinocchio character!
A few ARTICLES you should read --
How Travel Can Change The Way You Think // Some people ask me why I travel so much. And although there are many reasons that I like to constantly be on the move, this article summarizes the main one. It constantly forces me to acquire a new perspective on life. Plain and simple. I literally think differently when I immerse myself in a different culture.
Mark Cuban's Secret to Rapidly Growing Any Company // You may have seen him last on Shark Tank. Or possibly on ESPN in the background of a court-side highlight of his Dallas Mavericks' performance. Whenever you see or hear Mark Cuban, you should probably listen. He is known for giving his one liners for business insight... and this one question he recommends you ask yourself can be the key for your success.
INSPIRATION of the month --
3 Tips for Impact // Tai Lopez shows you why you shouldn't shoot for a billion-dollar brand right out of the gate, why sometimes you need to just admit you're lost and how to truly leverage fear to make a lasting impact. Start small and count the small wins!
